THE NATIONAL EXAMINATIONS COUNCIL OF TANZANIA (NECTA) was established by Parliamentary Act No. 21 of 1973.The administration of all Tanzanian National Examinations is the responsibility of NECTA.
The PSLE's goals are to evaluate the abilities and knowledge of primary school students in various subjects;to see how well students understand the fundamental reading, writing, and arithmetic skills and how well they can use them to solve real-world problems;and identify students who are qualified to continue their education in secondary schools or other training establishments.
